Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are very intelligent and competent learners. They are a mix of multiple cultures. Our top priority is to increase our reading levels and increase our vocabulary this year! We want to make big strides and close the achievement gap.
Our students are in a low-income area, and many do not have books to read at home.
My students are very focused on doing their best and giving their all. They have all been together since preschool and they adore each other! They like to encourage each other and do their best.
My Project
This year is the first year my students have ever been in a classroom. All of my students are eager and willing to learn and play. The problem is that because of COVID-19, the school was closed for a whole year. Many of the old toys and classroom accessories were discarded or moved to other rooms, leaving our classroom with the bare bones of supplies. As a teacher, I want to give my students the best learning experiences I possibly can!
We are in desperate need of engaging learning materials to help Kindergarten students to learn to read, write and learn their numbers.
My classroom lacks the basic teacher supplies that are needed for the the Reading and Math curriculums. I need the basic tools to help my learners to be successful!
