This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way." Psycholinguist Frank Smith understood the value of multilingualism, a lesson I work hard to instill in my English learners every day.
As we move into a virtual learning experience this fall and expect to greatly increase our number of multilingual students, we need your help to provide high-quality instruction to our English learners of all levels!
Our goal is to empower our students to become the next multilingual generation, full of knowledge, compassion, and creativity. Help us invest in our incredible students!
My Project
As we move into the world of distance learning, a high-quality workspace will be crucial to providing effective instruction for my students. These items will help make my at-home classroom space more comfortable and more productive for me, which will benefit my students.
Teachers are always asked to buy supplies out of their own pockets, and this year at home is no different.
An anti-fatigue mat and wireless earbuds will help me to stand on my concrete floors and teach more engaging lessons than while sitting down. Basic office supplies will keep me organized as I complete my administrative duties apart from teaching daily lessons. Stationery and envelopes will allow me to send personalized letters to my students and their families to build stronger relationships even during the virtual semester.
In order to keep myself healthy and working efficiently for my students, I need a well-stocked and healthy space to work at home. I appreciate your help in funding this project!
