Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Makeblock mBot kits will transform the learning experience by providing hands-on learning activities that immerse students in STEM concepts. By building and programming their robots, students engage in project-based learning that encourages exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. This experiential approach allows them to apply what they’ve learned in math, engineering, and coding to real-world challenges by participating in interactive learning through trial and error, fostering critical thinking and innovation, collaborate with peers in student-centered learning projects that emphasize teamwork and communication.

These activities empower students to take ownership of their learning, develop technical and soft skills, and ignite a passion for STEM fields.

The goals for this project are to: Cultivate inquiry-based learning, where students ask questions, experiment, and discover solutions through the design and programming of robots. Promote project-based learning by giving students the opportunity to design, build, and test robots to solve real-world challenges.

Encourage hands-on learning that makes abstract STEM concepts tangible and engaging. Develop leadership and teamwork through collaborative robotics challenges. Provide students with a foundation in robotics and coding that prepares them for future academic and career pursuits.

This project will make STEM education more accessible, exciting, and relevant to the students’ lives.

My students are special because they thrive in environments that encourage exploration and creativity. They excel when engaged in hands-on learning activities and demonstrate a remarkable ability to collaborate and innovate during student-centered learning opportunities. They are curious and driven, making them perfect candidates for inquiry-based learning.

Diverse in their perspectives and experiences, which enrich group discussions and projects. These students represent a future generation of problem-solvers and innovators, and providing them with tools like mBot kits will unlock their potential in exciting and meaningful ways.
