This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is located in the southwest side of Chicago and is a public school. We have limited amount of funds and my students also come from low income families. However, we always try to make the best of what we have.

My students are eager learners and enjoy engaging with books!

Currently, our classroom library is very empty. We also have many damaged books. Therefore, with new books, my students will be welcomed with new experiences as readers. This will increase their stamina and love for reading even more!
