This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project can be divided into 4 different categories: project building, snacks, basic school supplies, and treasure box items. Each of these impacts my students in different ways. COVID was hard and these items can help each of my students. Probably one of the biggest struggles this school year is that students have not done a lot of collaborative projects. These resources can help with that.
Students will use critical thinking skills to work collaboratively on projects.
Some of these supplies will be used for projects that are completed in the classroom.
Snacks: When students were at home, they ate whenever they wanted. Snacks will help to get them to lunchtime and/or through the rest of the school day. Also, many students don't eat breakfast, so just having a granola bar available could make a student's day that much better.
Basic school supplies: Pencil pouches help students keep their desks organized. Individual whiteboards, markers, and erasers are helpful so that students don't have to share these materials.
Treasure box: I feel that sometimes earning treasure box can help students stay motivated to want to do their best. For some students, it helps eliminate behaviors.
