My Students
My kids come from a place where they have received very limited resources at home, and unfortunately at school too. They are not given the materials that are necessary for them to develop their minds to the full potential. These children are so talented and special, and just need to receive equitable opportunity that other schools get to reach their full potential.
We are working day in and day out to show these kids that they can learn and they will succeed!
My Project
This green screen will drastically improve distance learning for the students. It will eliminate the ability of the students to view your household appliances (or roommates) which distracts them like crazy!
Being able to change the background on the green screen to something they are learning will help the students make deeper connections to the curriculum!
For example, let's say we are learning about the aqueducts in Ancient Greece during social studies; The next morning when they tune in, if I made my background the aqueducts of Ancient Greece, they would be able to tell me facts about what they learned the day prior- and it will also excite them! If I am giving a read aloud, and I have the background as the setting of the story, it will help them VISUALIZE what they are learning.
My students NEED to be able to make connections to what they're learning, reading out of a textbook just doesn't do it for them. The clipboards will allow them to watch the lessons and take notes as they go! The sky is the limit with a green screen, please help this come to life!
