Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school has some of the best students. Our students strive to find the best within themselves. All our students have talents and strengths and sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class are sometimes first generation and they aim to do well each and every day. They truly care about one another as they work towards a brighter future.
My Project
The use of colored pens is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The pens I selected will help my students by giving them additional writing options. Using the colored pens in math will allow students use a variety of pens to record modeled strategies. Colored pens, much like crayons, will excite students. I find color enriches the learning process and is almost always left out due to cost. The pens are a low tech way to help all my students better organize information to highlight vocabulary mix color to math strategies.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to run out of batteries. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with old technology is always appreciated.
