Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, loquacious, and social. They are also caring and enjoy collaborating with their classmates. Most of them enjoy science, art, technology, and P.E. more than other subjects. At this time, my students don’t have the one on one and small group support they need because they are learning from home. Many of my students‘ parents work full time. Some of my students’ parents speak another language at home. My students are motivated and excited to begin the new school year.
My Project
I want to become a National Board Certified teacher because I want to grow as an educator. I also want my students to have a robust education. I want to make sure I address all my students’ individual needs. They all deserve a high quality education. The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards is a rigorous certification process that maintains advanced standards for educators. I am a lifelong learner. I want my students to be successful and lifelong learners as well. National Board Certification is the most respected certification a teacher can have.
