Help Math Students Recover Their Lost Learning From Covid
Help me give my students language translators so that my English Language Learners can avoid using their own personal cell phones in the class for translation services. Also, large post-it easels help them display their work collaboratively.

My Project
I have multiple students who speak little to no English in my Algebra classes. Currently, they use their cell phones for translating between their first language and English. These translator devices will give them a dedicated device so that they can focus on the lesson rather than managing translation and distractions on their cellphone. Also, having student cellphones out sets the precedent that cellphones are okay to use in our classroom. So, having phones put away in favor of these translation devices allows all rules to apply to all students equally. Graph paper and graph easel paper are essential classroom tools for all students to be able to quickly create one of the three essential algebraic representations. We would be so grateful to have these items!
