Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are still recovering from the effect of the pandemic not only academically by emotionally. I have noticed it is difficult for students to make connections with new classmates.

I want to use games and arts to offer a safe space for students to focus on a fun activity to get their minds off their troubles.

Playing games is a great way to get kids to talk to each other and make connections and hopefully a friend. By providing snack while they play students will gain energy to get through the day.

In addition, using the lavaliers to make live action films and Legos to make stop motion films in groups, gives all students a place to show their strengths to encourage students to see their peers in a different light. Plus, film making naturally creates an environment where kids need to work together and problem solve. This is high level critical thinking why having fun.
