My students need 18 items such as Tangrams, a Cash Register, a News Playset, a Doctor's Kit, Magnet Builders, Alphabet Dough Stampers, Alphabet Picture Stencils, Paint Aprons and Paint.
When you think about kindergarten, I'm sure you remember the best time of the day--Free Choice Learning Centers! We know, and research confirms, that children learn the most through cooperative play with others. Unfortunately, we no longer have the funds for resources to create great centers.
I teach all day kindergarten in a high-need community.
My classroom is hands- and brains-on. We love to sing while we learn. My class is made up of a diverse group of loving, energetic five and six year olds. They brighten my life, and that is why I am trying to brighten theirs!
My Project
I am requesting an assortment of supplies including tangrams, a cash register, a news playset, a doctor's kit, alphabet dough stampers, alphabet picture stencils, art smocks, and paint. These resources will help make our learning centers sizzle! The activities that the materials will provide will help to improve of our learning centers, increase student achievement, and motivate the students.
As funding for schools in Ohio continues to dwindle, your donations are the only hope we have in providing the students with necessary resources.
