This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K students love coming to school to learn and play with their friends. They think our classroom is perfect. They don't see that if we had a few extra materials, we would be able to do so many more things.
They are happy with what we have, but I want to give them more.
We are the only Pre-K class at our school and my students are a great bunch of kids. They are just starting out and they are so excited to come to school every day.
As their teacher, I try to maintain that excitement so that they will always love coming to school. Most of them come from very low-income homes and have never been in school before entering my class.
My Project
With these materials, I will be able to create so many resources for my students. I will use the Velcro and the Command hooks to hang up the many items necessary in a Pre-K classroom. These are the kinds of things my school does not provide and they go a long way in creating an efficient and organized classroom for my students.
We will have so much fun using magnetic letters to learn sounds and blending words.
I cannot wait to see my students writing letters and words on the dry erase boards. These materials will help my students learn skills that are essential to their success in school. My students will use these materials daily and I know they will truly make a huge impact on their learning.
