Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal as an educator is for my students to want to come to school and to love the space they learn in. These materials will be used to help create a cozy and organized classroom environment for my students to learn, explore, and most importantly, feel comfortable in.
Classroom tools, sensory supports, and organizational items will not only help support my learners but will also help grow their love of learning in a space where they feel at home.
Sensory stickers, wobble cushions, and footrests will give students an opportunity to regulate their bodies and feel more focused while they learn.
Pop it tools and fidgets will be a fun, motivating tool to enrich my students' learning in an engaging way. These tools will allow students of different abilities to work together and build fostering relationships with classroom peers.
My diverse group of learners consists of students with disabilities, multi-language learners, as well as students who need extra social-emotional support. These items will set them up to do their best learning and give them space that can be used to help them feel more comfortable.
Organization tools will not only help keep our classroom clean, but will give students the responsibility to play an active role in keeping their classroom neat. I want my students to take ownership of their learning environment, while being able to find things easily.
These tools and supports will not only help my students flourish, but they will give every learner an opportunity to grow and enrich their love of learning!
