Hello everyone! I would very much appreciate your support so I am able to give my students the education they deserve. All of my students are English Language Learners. We do a lot of projects that require things like colored pencils/crayons, glue, and scissors. The more hands-on we are, the better I feel I can engage my students in the joy of literacy and language learning.
My biggest need is the box sets of decodable texts.
I work with students who are often very behind in their reading skills. I will be restructuring my class to include more group and independent work, and reading to enhance specific reading skills. Having fun and engaging books for my middle schoolers is a must to meet the goals I have set for them.
I have some of the best kids in the world, I believe. They are respectful and know the importance of education. They are resilient and work hard to navigate being newcomers to this country on top of the struggles of just being a teenager! I love very much the richness my students bring to our learning community. Any help you could give in helping me to be able to better help my students would be much appreciated. Thank you!
