Help Make Math FUN!

My students need hands-on materials to help make math more meaningful and FUN! We need a calculator kit , math folder game libraries and fraction multipliers.

My Students

We come from a rural town with a population of less than 3,500. Though our town is growing, our school budget is not. I am asking for your support in collecting the games and manipulative that are pertinent for our 5th grade classroom.

These students need a way to "see" the fun in math.

I am excited to help my student make math real and give them games and manipulatives that will increase their understanding of concepts and skills that will be forever built upon.

My Project

I have shopped specifically for these math game and manipulatives that will help our students find the fun in math. The calculators will give students the ability to check their work, thereby increasing their independence and confidence. Being from a small town, life experiences are limited as well as exposure to different ways of thinking.

These math games and manipulatives will allow students to start talking about different ways to solve a variety of math problems, thus building their confidence and courage to ask questions.
