This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is filled with students who are eager to learn and need hands on learning tools to help them. I currently teach a K-2nd grade life skills programs for students who have intellectual disabilities. The focus of my classroom is for them to again literacy and math skills while learning daily living skills. The best way to accomplish this goal would be through hands-on learning tools like Learning Resources Magnetic Letter and Number Construction Set and Dinhon Kids Learning Locks with Keys Numbers Matching & Counting Montessori Educational Toys.

Children with special needs benefit significantly from hands-on learning tools that cater to their unique abilities and developmental goals.

Hands on learning tools will enhance student engagement through interactive and multisensory learning experiences. Also, these tools will support individual education plans (IEPs) by addressing specific developmental goals. My students will get the chance to improve fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and emotional regulation. Due to a staffing shortage, my students occupational therapy needs are not being met. I am hoping that this project will allow me to build those skills within my daily instruction.

By contributing to this project you will help to foster growth and development in students with diverse needs. This initiative is a step toward building an inclusive and supportive learning environment where my students can flourish.
