Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand..." This is one of my favorite quotes and I think it speaks volumes. This technology will show my students and involve them.

My school is located in a very urban low socio-economic area.

My students are the children of immigrants and most are English Language Learners. My students are also helping their parents to learn English so there is very little help with homework. My students are very motivated and I can see how hard they try on a daily basis.

My Project

I envision using this document camera with every single lesson because it is one of the most useful and versatile tools. Students can learn how a math problem is solved, how an essay can be edited and revised and see small items in science experiments magnified. We can also demonstrate where to find text evidence in a book during reading. This will also cut down on the amount of copies that I have to make for the class because the entire class can see the text projected.

This will help to improve my classroom by reducing the amount of papers that students are responsible for.

Everyone will literally see the same demonstration, text, or math problem at the same time and be involved.
