My Students
I am teaching a kindergarten class that is comprised of students of all capabilities. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country; therefore, they are learning the English language. I also have some students who require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs.
I am excited that my boys and girls are reading and writing.
Many of them are reading at a second-grade level, and I am very proud of them for that. They come to school every day eager to learn.
My Project
I am looking to obtain a wireless amplifier for the classroom. With the windows open, air conditioner running and 2 air purifiers going all day, there is so much white noise it is hard for the students to hear me. I am constantly having to speak loudly which is now resulting in a sore throat. Getting this amplifier will allow me to place the speaker in the back of the room so all the students can hear me clearly. I especially like that the headphones are wireless so it will allow me to walk around and assist the students as needed. I am also requesting water bottles because both the students are constantly getting dry mouths from wearing masks all day. Having clean water always available will be beneficial for all.
