This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school does not have the money to spend on extra supplies for the classroom. I usually end up paying for most of the extra supplies in my classroom. My students need a book case and 12 bins to store all their books. I cannot afford these items, so I am asking for your kind help. We are a fabulous little school in a large city in northern California.
We do not have a PTA fund with extra money, and in California there has been a severe budget cut for our schools.
We need supplies desperately for this year and the next. This bookcase and bins will enable us to actually put our books on shelves and not into plastic crates or an old shelf I found years ago that is falling apart. We will be able to come put our books and other supplies away with this fabulous new bookcase! For years to come this sturdy large bookcase and bins will serve many students to come.
I cannot afford to buy such things for my room nor can my school. With the outdated classrooms and limited supplies we live with, this new bookcase will be a welcome addition to my room, and the kindergarten students will use it every day.
My Project
I know this is a very large expensive purchase, so I am hoping to get donations little by little. This will go a long way and help out in a very big, big way. My classroom is outdated, and my desks are almost 50 years old! We use plastic milk crates and an old shelf I found and tried to hammer back together (to no avail).
Please donate what you can and help us get our books and other supplies out of the milk crates and off of the floor! Your help means so much! We will be able to use our new book shelf by placing all of our books in neat little bins. We will use this for years and years!
This is a large request, I know, but, believe me, whatever you can give to my sweet little class, please do and help us with our classroom.
My students need a bookshelf and bins to put books on. We are so indebted to DonorsChoose for finding people like you that help us!, Your donation will help students for years and years to come.
