This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a half-poverty, high-need population in Northern California. Our school has no extra funds; we are without many things. Kindergarten is a time to explore and realize who you are, who you would want to be, and to feel safe. Unfortunately, almost 40% or more of my students are without many supplies. During this pandemic, we as teachers need supplies, and so do our students
As a teacher, there is so much I can do, and there is nothing at times I can do.
This is why we need your help. These children are so thankful, so wonderful, and all they need is someone to believe in them. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and countries. I am so lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
Hello, everyone. Strange times, but the most important is that our students are safe. I have been using the Teachers Pay Teachers website for some time. When we were sheltered in place last year, I spent over $300 getting new materials for my students. What makes this website unique is that I am able to download standard-based worksheets that really help students become engaged and love to do the work. I have requested two gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers so I can continue to purchase digital resources for my students.
Every day I will give assignments using downloaded materials purchased from this amazing website that is made and directed by teachers!
I am so happy this gift card is on DonorsChoose, because this is the most useful product I could ever use. Please help us get these supplies.
