This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Learning how to be organized is a lifelong skill that will help my students for the rest of their lives! Storage sacks will be a great benefit to my students to help them stay organized.
My fourth graders attend an elementary school in California's largest urban school district.
They come from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as different socioeconomic statuses, which means that some have more access to resources than others. I would like to use Donors Choose as a vehicle in supplying a much needed resource, chair/storage sacks, in order to teach my students how to be and stay organized.
My Project
No matter what grade level I've taught, from Kindergarten to fourth grade, teaching students to be, and stay, organized has always been a challenge. It isn't a state standard, it's not tested, but it's an important life skill. With chair sacks, students will learn how to keep their things in order. Learning how to be organized will greatly benefit them now and in the future.
Please help with our class project however you can!
My current 4th graders and future students will greatly benefit from this added resource in the classroom. In donating to this project, you will be directly affecting the lives of many and aiding in the teaching of such a beneficial skill.
