This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When my students come to their library special, they are eager to learn and engage in the day's activities and excited to check out something new to read. Sometimes our library can't quite keep on their level, though. Pencils are broken or dull, for example, books on the shelves are messy, or maybe the tables have gotten dirty and we haven't had time to wipe them down yet.
Supplies like cordless pencil sharpeners, organizers to put behind books on the shelf, and plastic crates and tubs to store daily materials in will help us keep the library neat and ready for students to enjoy.
No more sitting at a grubby table, trying to use pencils that are stubby, or waiting in a long line to use our one mediocre pencil sharpener. No more books falling behind the shelves so we can't find them. Students deserve a space that welcomes them!
