This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will use the items in our daily projects and afterschool programs. We would love to have the items other schools take for granted. Our budget has been cut in half and it is a struggle to get needed supplies. Our students are low-income but highly motivated and intelligent, they deserve every chance to succeed. We hope to promote the trades and place students in high-paying trade jobs, we train in masonry and have placed students every year at graduation. The trades sometimes get a negative view compared to going to college and we hope to change that.
