My students need a dry erase easel in order to be able to participate in writing and editing our daily message.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Muniz's classroom raised $517
This project is fully funded
I just started the school year with a group of very excited kindergarteners. We are at a very diverse, inner city charter school where our goal is to maintain high academic expectations while also teaching students to be active in their community through service learning.
Each day I write a message to the students, explaining what we will do for the day. During this message we also practice identifying letters, sounds, and sight words. As the year progresses, we also start to edit the message and the students can add their own hopes for the day. My problem this year is that I do not have an easel that allows the students to participate in our morning message activities. They are so eager to learn, and I am excited to give them as many opportunities as possible to participate in every learning activity possible.
I have only requested one item, an easel. It is low enough for the students to reach, and will allow us to write messages daily that the students can come and participate in editing and reading.
We will use your gift on a daily basis. Before students can read independently, we read as a group. This is how students learn to read from left to right, identify sight words, and sound out words. The easel that we receive with have a large part in teaching students to read because it will allow us to read together! Thank you!
