My Project

In September a special guest gifted a rabbit named Hershey to our library to encourage scientific observations and interest in STEM disciplines. And even in the short time we've had him, it's clear he's been growing quickly. So now we need to expand his housing. The new enclosure will help us give Hershey more room to explore and more space for students to observe. The litter box and washable rugs will help us train him to use one spot as a bathroom. The feeding mats will help us keep him engaged. And the hideaways will help him feel safe.

Hershey, the rabbit librarian of Harlem has already done so much to enrich our school community -- students who struggle socially have found a way to connect with other students, and students of all ages have found purpose in keeping Hershey safe!

Rabbits can live up to 10 years as pets and your donation will help us keep him happy and healthy for years to come so new students can bond and interact with this special school pet.
