My Students

I teach Life Skills Support to 15 exceptional kiddos with intellectual disabilities and speech and language impairments, from low income neighborhoods in Philadelphia. My kiddos love to learn and have fun while doing it. We spend a lot of time working on social skills, communication, domestic and personal maintenance, as well as building our foundational reading and math skills.

My students are very kind, funny, hard working and resilient kids, who are very special to me.

I want to able to help my students gain knowledge and the experiences that they need to gain confidence and success in their progress. Your generous donations will help make this possible.

My Project

Digital learning brings some new and different challenges to a learning environment. It can be especially hard for students with complex needs to use a tracker in a traditional Chromebook or laptop. Donations will help my students get wireless mice, which will make it easier for them to navigate through digital learning. It will also help with drag and click activities. It will make the learning activities more accessible to them.

I need your help to help my students get some tools to help make digital learning more fun.

My students love using dry erase boards. I want to send home a double sided dry erase boards home with my students to make writing and drawing more fun. These tools will help motivate my students to participate in drawing and writing tasks.
