My Students
My kids come from a place where they have received very limited resources at home, and unfortunately at school too. They are not given the materials that are necessary for them to develop their minds to the full potential. These children are so talented and special, and just need to receive equitable opportunity that other schools get to reach their full potential.
We are working day in and day out to show these kids that they can learn and they will succeed!
My Project
Distance learning is going to be a huge change that we all will need to adjust to. With half the country working from home right now during this pandemic, there are many distractions. My students will struggle with learning in many ways virtually (learning how to read, understanding math problems/mistakes, etc.)
One thing my students should not have to struggle with is being able to see and hear the lessons clearly!
The webcam will allow the students to see what I am teaching, and the microphone will allow them to hear what I am saying clearly. Whether we are focusing on math, reading, or anything else, they should not feel lost because they couldn't hear or see what I was teaching!
My students deserve to receive equitable lessons; a lot of this pandemic is out of our control, but I want to take ownership of what we CAN control (in this case, giving the students the best chance at learning that we can).
