My first grade class is full of curious and excited students who are eager to learn! I am so excited to be taking over a class of first graders who are striving to be life-long innovators that are globally minded citizens. All of my students come to the class from different backgrounds with a wide range of experiences and interests.
Our school focuses on global studies and the world around us.
We are lucky to have such a variety of backgrounds and families that make our class and school so special.
My Project
This classroom library set would provide the various levels of books that our class needs. We are in dire need of a fun, organized classroom library. I took over this class mid year, when a teacher had to transfer to another school. The previous teacher had a personal library which means there’s not much left now that she is gone. I’m working to build our library to meet the needs of all of my students. When you’re six years old and learning to read, it’s easy to get frustrated or bored. With a library full of books on many different topics at every readers level, students stay confident and engaged. Watching them grow and build confidence in being able to read independently is the most amazing experience!
