My Project
Our middle school and high school esports program has been going, off and on, since 2020. My son graduated in 2023 and all but begged the school to get the computers and tech we needed to run a team, but it didn't happen. Now, he is a sophomore in college, majoring in computer science and earning $4K a year to play Fortnite for Ashland University. He was hired as the esports coach and wants to provide a foundation for the students at Plymouth-Shiloh Local Schools so they can see the possibility of being involved in something bigger than just athletics.
He has been working with the kids for the past two months to teach them how to better hone their Fortnite and Valorant skills.
With only 8 gaming computers that work some of the time, monitors that don't refresh as fast as the computers, and 13 eager kids showing up at a time, it has been difficult to reach the level of success he knows they are capable of.
Please help us give them the equipment they need to be successful and ignite the spark within them to get more involved in the STEM fields.
