This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students choose the Alternative Center for Excellence for many reasons. They often come with barriers and blocks to literacy. It is our passion to break those blocks and to instill in them a love for reading, writing and language study. Our annual poetry, music and art coffee house is a culminating showcase celebrating student voices and building community.

Please help us fund our 22nd Annual Garden Party Coffee House where our spirits will bloom with joy and the colors of spring.
