Scholastic News is such a helpful tool in the classroom. It extends their knowledge with real life stories of things that they are already learning throughout their day. Allowing students to make connections helps readers of all levels.
Recess is such a fun part of a students school day.
Giving them an opportunity to play different sports with a volleyball, basketball and soccer ballis a great way to keep their body active and to discover new abilities.
The students do not currently have storage at their desks and the baskets will make it easier for them to be able to maintain an organized space. Having somewhere to put their items so they are readily available for each subject helps cut down on transition time frames as well as preparedness for middle school.
