My Students
First, my students are the kindest and caring students, they have always offered to help others, even though most of them do not come from much themselves. Being that we are an inter-city school the majority of our students are free and reduced lunch. My students are attending an urban high school and travel as near as five minutes and as far as an hour to attend.
My population of students is diverse.
I teach the 11th-grade U.S. History course as well as the advanced placement United States history course. My students' abilities range from a third-grade reading level to a college reading level. My students sometimes are not able to afford the basic school supplies and I am always spending money out of my own pocket to provide those for them. With the active virus and the movement to online learning, I really need your help!
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference to my students by giving them the ability to print their papers for peer reviews, more resources to understand content or images to create posters. The posters of the influential black figures will add more to our anti-racist classroom. The paper cutter will take time out of the mornings of cutting up a daily assignment. All the materials that are listed will help make our classroom run more efficiently. These materials will be making an impact on how students will be able to access materials.
The lessons we do in class are student driven so that toner will be able to be for student use and all the resources are to help them to work in a manor that does not hinder or use up too much time .
