Help me give my students hands-on sustainable practices using a shredder for newspapers to feed our classroom's worm farms!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Knapp's classroom raised $354

My Project
Part of my students' anxiety about Climate Change is fueled by a sense of powerlessness. "What can I do?" is a common shared sentiment when I ask students to think about what actions they can take to reduce their own carbon footprint.
A large capacity shredder would help teach a more sustainable future through recycling newspaper as part of our classroom worm farm diet!
Throughout the year we spend time making connections to our personal choices and the positive or negative consequences they have for the Earth. This shredder would become part of our positive consequences for students as they build healthy soil we can use in our indoor gardens!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
