Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My middle school students love to have alternate places to complete their independent work. Adding some additional flexible seating will help make the classroom a more welcome place. I teach three levels of mathematics (6,7,8) and students of all sizes could utilize this type of seating. Having choices of where to complete work has improved my student’s progress by giving them an option to sit alone or in a group in a more comfortable setting.
Because our desks do not have storage, the chair pockets will be huge help for students to store their books and supplies and allow them to have space to utilize their whiteboard desks.
The giant calendar will allow me to organize deadlines for my students by using a color code system for the three different classes I teach.
I greatly appreciate your help in making our classroom a comfortable environment, and helping us replenish some of our basic supplies.
