Help me give my students the opportunity to gain skills that will lead them to Green Engineering with an aquaponic system and an investigations kit.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Graham's classroom raised $809
This project is fully funded
My Project
An aquaponic system is key in teaching our Environmental Engineering students about sustainable practices in agriculture and water/soil management. An additional benefit is the introduction to assessing food origins, quality, and the human impact of agriculture.
The system can also lend itself to lessons regarding the nitrogen cycle for our AP Environmental students as a direct source for water sampling and data collection.
Supplementary Carolina kits can connect directly to aquaponic lessons when discussing food supplies for growing populations. Your support will help students interact with nature within the walls of their classroom.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
