My Project
In 2025, technology has enabled teachers to reach levels of engagement never thought possible! Using programs such as Google Classroom has allowed teachers, myself included, to create engaging and personalized lessons that ensure that I can reach each students where they are academically, use a wealth of primary sources, and give students the skills needed to succeed in the modern world. While many students have laptops for themselves, several lack them, making a classroom set an equalizing factor that will allow students a fair chance no matter their economic status!
The area I teach in has a lot of poverty.
Here, many students have to choose an education or a job. We teachers fight daily to ensure that they remain in school, but it becomes more difficult when they come into class without the same resources as everyone else.
Each day I do my best to provide a curriculum that is engaging and full of variety. I give newspaper articles for them to analyze, they do research papers on famous Americans, and do projects on major historical events. This is designed to immerse my students in the history that surrounds them and ensures they can find similarities in themselves and the people that came before them.
A classroom Chromebook set will allow my students to use the technical skills to examine the past and get them in a better position to be ready for the future!
