My Project
I am requesting various food items that I can keep in my classroom to provide to students when needed. There have been many times I have had students ask if I had a snack or told me that they did not eat breakfast that morning. Hunger can easily get in the way of a child's ability to focus and learn while in the classroom. If I can do anything to help them combat that and also make sure they have had food during the day I would love to be able to provide them with that type of support.
A lot of the students in my class qualify for free lunch and with the cost of groceries these days, some students may only be eating at school.
I want them to know that I care about them and their wellbeing rather than just their academics. Thank you so much!
