Help Empower Underrepresented Voices Through Technology and Justice Based Learning!

Help me give my students the access to research, create, and present powerful projects on racial justice and representation, by giving them access to the technology and tools they deserve.

My Project

Dear Donors, Thank you for considering supporting my Social Justice classroom at CBR. Our scholars are passionate, creative, and resilient, but many face barriers that limit their access to the tools they need to thrive. Most of our students read below a 6th-grade level, despite being in high school setting, and many come from low-income households with little or no access to technology, libraries, or basic school supplies.

This project is designed to change that.

I'm requesting an Apple iMac, two printers, headphones, poster boards, and art supplies to support student learning and creativity across multiple projects throughout the year. I'm also building a Science of Reading space filled with engaging, culturally relevant books like Born a Crime, Just Mercy, and The 1619 Project to support literacy and representation in our classroom.

My class completes five major research-based projects during the year, where students explore topics such as racial injustice, Black history, and community change. These materials will help them research, create, and present their ideas, whether through printed visuals, digital slideshows, posters, or hands on storytelling.

This isn’t just for my classroom, it’s a resource for the whole school. Any scholar who needs a space to read, research, or create will be welcomed in. Your contribution helps close the opportunity gap and gives our students the chance to learn and lead with dignity, purpose, and pride.

Thank you for believing in our scholars and investing in their future.
