Aloha! I live and work in a desperately needy community in Hawaii. My school has a diverse population of high-need, high-risk students, and I want to provide everything my class of 20+ Kindergarten students need to feel safe, valued, and successful in school.
It is also part of my job to help my students learn about their bodies, and how to keep themselves happy, healthy, and clean. These health lessons are especially important when students are young, to help lay the foundation for good life skills and habits that will benefit them for years to come!
Please help support this proposal for a health unit that teaches senses, nutrition, and basic body health. I love teaching health in Kindergarten, because students really connect to the lessons, and WANT to keep their bodies, healthy, strong, and most importantly growing!! This kit has all kinds of hands-on activities, manipulatives, and group activities that will reinforce healthy living skills, and will make being health seem easy and fun!
Nothing is more important than a child's health and wellness: please help me empower my class to help them lead happy healthy lives and build healthy habits for a lifetime of learning!
