My Project
Fifteen students are in a Youth Leadership Course where they are designing tiny homes for empty lots in their Dorchester neighborhood. They are learning to use the professional Revit Architecture Software for their work, but we only have five PC Laptops that can run this program. The student have to share computers for their design. This limits students in their ability to learn and use the architecture program.
One more PC with enough processing power will give two more students an opportunity to explore architecture as a career.
The students represent the most diverse neighborhoods in Boston and giving them this experience will allow them to explore architecture as a career choice in a field that is in deep need of a diverse talent pool.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
