This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we practice professionalism and performance readiness. We are currently preparing students for our show in June and their dance is in the cumbia and salsa genre with roots in Colombia. Not only will these colorful skirts be magical on stage, but they will allow the students to feel like brand new performers on stage since they have never danced with a skirt like this. These skirts will help my students get a true feeling of Latin dancing.
My students are dedicated to their dance technique and even leave their lunch periods to come practice in the dance room.
With new costumes, their technique really takes flight. We want to cultivate their love of dance by making them look beautiful inside and out. Please help our dancers look beautiful!
