My students use the Sanford EXPO Vis-A-Vis Fine-Point Wet-Erase, the mechanical pencils and the journals, to be used during the daily Reading Recovery lessons.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a Reading Recovery teacher. I provide individualized intensive intervention to first grade students that are on the verge of being refereed to special education.
I must graduate four students in twenty weeks and move on to the next cycle of children after those twenty weeks are over. I see my students daily and our time together is very precious. I design an individual program for each and every one of my students after assessing them. My students need special materials to be successful in this program. I also see two groups of six students daily for guided reading and those supplies are needed for them also.
My students have homework each and every night and that is why they need the journals that I requested. Each student gets an additional writing journal for classwork. Part of the requirement is for that student to use a marker to write with that does not bleed into the next page. After experimenting with different markers, I found that the expo markers are the best ones. The mechanical pencils are also excellent for this program. They are fast and therefor prevent waisting precious time sharpening.
Please help me make this precious time so meaningful and colorful with these great resources for each and every one of my students. Giving is the best gift a person could get!!!
