My Students

My students have different backgrounds, abilities, and styles. Despite all this they have a desire to learn more about the world around them, they are creative and curious students.

They love doing hands-on projects, cooperative learning groups, and using technology as well as reading in our classroom.

Incorporating all of these things is the way in which I want my students to learn every day. I want to give them all the resources I can to help them become contributing members of society, who have the necessary skills to make a difference in this science and literacy based world.

My Project

They say that reading can take you places, and create a world that you can escape to. I want my students to be able to see that reading not only helps us learn, but it also can give us relatable characters, memorable experiences, and provides a foundation for world to literacy.

Book clubs give students the opportuniry to experience new vocabulary, meet new and exciting characters, and build classroom community.

It can allow us to find connections to one another, and see that even though we are different, we are more alike to each other than we think we are.
