My Students

Art is more about a completed project. Reading can and should also take place in the art classroom.

We are a public charter school located in North West Washington, DC.

I am the art teacher who for grades K-5. I currently teach over 400 students. They are creative and love being able to artistically express themselves. They appreciate anything related to art.

My Project

These books would be a great addition to the art classroom. Many students would love the opportunity to read during choice time and when they have completed their assignment. By having an art library, students can read about what they are learning. This would help strenghten and deepen learning.

The donations would be greatly appreciate by the teacher, the students, and their families.

The tools needed for artistic expression stretch beyond the typical art supplies and would be a great resource.
