This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These chairs and rug will assist in transforming my office into a safe, welcoming space for students and families to receive critical mental health support at school. With comfortable seating, and a warming rug the space will be a pleasant and welcoming space for all. Having a cozy space will help students deescalate challenging emotions will be invaluable. Students deserve to have a space where they feel safe and respected when they are feeling overwhelmed. My space will give them the break they need to recenter in order for them to return to class and be successful students.
