This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are reaching out to you with an opportunity to make a significant impact on the students at Heritage Elementary School, a Title 1 elementary school in Ogden, Utah. Our students are eager for the opportunity to design imagery digitally to foster their artistic talents and also introduce them to the world of digital design in the visual arts.

We are seeking your support to acquire a classroom set of Wacom tablets, which will enable my students to expand our art and design program into the digital realm.

With the rapid advancement of technology, it's essential that our students have the opportunity to explore digital artistry, a crucial skill for the 21st century, and one not usually available to elementary school students.

Wacom tablets are renowned for their precision and responsiveness, making them the ideal tool for digital art and design. By adding these tablets into our curriculum, we can expose our students to the world of digital design, offering them a seamless transition from traditional art to the endless possibilities of creation on computers.

These tablets will serve as a stepping stone for our students to learn the basics of digital design, which can open up future career opportunities.

Utilizing technology in the classroom will engage students at a higher level, making the learning process more exciting and interactive.

By working towards a classroom set of tablets, we ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has equal access to cutting-edge art and design tools.

We are seeking to raise $682 to purchase a classroom set of Wacom tablets, including styluses and accessories. This budget will double our current number of tablets, allowing over half of our students to participate in creation of Digital Visual Arts and reaching a group of over 600 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
