This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm seeking support to provide my students with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) materials to help them manage emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. My goal is to create a calm-down corner—a safe, comforting space where students can take a moment to regroup when they’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or upset.

Along with the calm-down area, I’d also like to provide my students with essential classroom consumables they’ll need throughout the year, such as paper, markers, and a whole group whiteboard, that support SEL activities and daily learning.

By contributing, you’re helping create a more inclusive, nurturing classroom where students feel seen, supported, and ready to succeed both emotionally and academically. Thank you for being part of this meaningful journey!
