Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the Librarian, I would like to begin a Summer Story Time.
During our Summer Story Time, students will engage in literacy activities, including listening to stories, reading with families, and taking home a book to read.
According to research, many students are not reading during the summer, so this program will allow children to hear a story in the summer and engage in literacy activities. Students will also receive a book for coming to the summer program.
Students will be able to continue reading throughout the summer by adding books to the home library collection.
