This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When it comes to technology in our school, we fall flat! Help us shape up and bring a 3D printer into the art room!

My classroom of students has gained a reputation within our district for creating beautiful, sculptural art installations with recycled and reused materials.

My students take a lot of pride in the work that they create and I can not always provide them with the ideal materials for their projects. We have learned to make due with what we have, but they should have access to the proper materials! I think it is very useful for students to know how to create grids in order to reproduce and enlarge works of art. I want my students to be exposed to and learn to utilize the technological tools that will efficiently and more accurately yield the same results.

My Project

I want to give my students the ability to create and form their ideas using modern technology! When my students move on to high school, I want them to leave my tutelage feeling like they have created something memorable and worthwhile. I want my students to experience the best of everything, especially when they are preparing for a special project! This 3-D printer will change the way I teach, the way we learn as a class, and the way we create art in my classroom! My students will be exposed and learn how to utilize modern technology from concept, to design, to form, when creating 3-D works of art. I want my students to understand how art translates into the real world and how this can benefit their future careers.

Students that may fall through the cracks academically, almost always shine in the arts!

I want my students to realize their true potential and show them that they are deserving of amazing things!
