it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I'm getting ready for another challenging year. This coming year, I will be teaching a first and a second grade combination class. My students will start with a disadvantage because of the pandemic and I want to have as many tools and materials as possible to help them succeed in school.
I know they will be eager to learn and they will be full of energy and wonder because for some of them this will be their first time in an actual classroom.
I have been teaching for 20 years in the same public school that is located in a city where 90 percent of our population is socioeconomically disadvantaged. About 4 percent of our student population are foster youth.
My Project
Younger children have a lot of energy and its hard for them to sit still. I would like to get these Flex-Space Wobble Cushions for my students so they can have a place to sit on the floor. I had a carpet in my classroom, but it was removed due to Covid.
These Wobble cushions will help students expel excessive energy while seated, enabling greater concentration in the classroom.
These Wobble cushions will help my students move without distracting others. The nubs on the side gives students just the right amount of tactile stimulation. It also improves core strength and posture.
